High School Lacrosse in Boulder County

High school lacrosse in Boulder County is sanctioned by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) and plays in the spring season. Multiple schools in the Boulder Valley School District and surrounding areas field varsity and junior varsity teams.

Who It's For

Students in grades 9–12 enrolled in a CHSAA member school. Both boys and girls programs compete under CHSAA rules.

Season

CHSAA spring lacrosse runs approximately March through May, with state playoffs in May.

Boulder County High Schools with Lacrosse

Several high schools in Boulder County field CHSAA lacrosse teams. Note that some girls programs are combined across schools — girls from Boulder High and Monarch register through Fairview HS, and Erie girls play through Mead HS. Contact your school's athletic department for current team status, tryout dates, and coach information.

Club Lacrosse

In addition to school teams, many high school-age players compete with club programs, particularly in the fall and winter off-season. Club lacrosse can provide additional development opportunities and exposure for players considering college-level play.

College Recruiting

Players interested in playing at the collegiate level should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center early in their high school career. Connecting with club programs and attending showcases is a common path for Boulder County players seeking college opportunities.
