College & University Lacrosse in Boulder County

Boulder County is home to the University of Colorado Boulder, which fields both competitive club lacrosse teams and supports student-run programs. Colorado's college lacrosse scene continues to grow as the sport expands at the NCAA level.

University of Colorado Boulder

CU Boulder has active men's and women's club lacrosse programs that compete in the MCLA (Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association) and WCLA (Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association), respectively. These programs are student-run, highly competitive, and travel for regional and national tournaments.

Interested CU students should look for club sport tryouts in the fall semester through the CU Men's Lacrosse or CU Women's Lacrosse programs.

NCAA Programs in Colorado

While CU Boulder does not currently have an NCAA varsity lacrosse program, several Colorado universities compete at the NCAA level. Colorado has growing representation in both Division I and Division II lacrosse.

Adult & Post-Collegiate Lacrosse

Boulder County also has opportunities for adult and post-collegiate players to stay in the game through recreational leagues and box lacrosse programs. These are a great option for former high school and college players looking to continue playing.
