Professional Lacrosse — Teams, Leagues & How to Watch
Boulder County lacrosse fans have excellent options for following professional lacrosse — both a home team just down the road and top outdoor competition on national TV.
Colorado Mammoth — NLL (Indoor)
The Colorado Mammoth are the Denver-based franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL), the premier professional indoor (box) lacrosse league in North America. They play at Ball Arena in Denver, making them the closest pro lacrosse team to Boulder.
The Mammoth are one of the most successful franchises in NLL history, with multiple championship appearances. The atmosphere at a Mammoth game is loud, fast, and unlike anything in outdoor lacrosse — highly recommended for any lacrosse family in Boulder County.
Season: NLL runs roughly December through May, with playoffs in the spring.

The PLL features the best outdoor players in the world, including many who also play in the NLL during the winter.
Season: PLL runs from late spring through summer (roughly May–September), with a championship weekend in the fall.
Teams: The PLL has 8 teams — Atlas, Cannons, Chaos, Chrome, Redwoods, Water Dogs, Whipsnakes, and California.
Where to Watch: PLL games broadcast on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and stream on ESPN+.

The 2026 season features 11 weekends of competition plus a Championship Series.
