2026 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Final Four Set
The 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship quarterfinals are done, and the Final Four is set. Four programs that Boulder County high school players and CU men's club players follow closely all spring came through this weekend — two on Saturday at Hofstra, two on Sunday in Newark. Here's how the bracket shook out.
Saturday, May 16 — Hofstra
No. 2 Notre Dame 15, Johns Hopkins 9
Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins went into the half tied 6-6, then the Irish pulled away with a dominant 9-3 second half. Josh Yago led Notre Dame with four goals and three assists; Matt Jeffery added two goals and three assists. The Irish improve to 12-2 and return to Championship Weekend for the third time in four years.
No. 6 Syracuse 13, No. 3 North Carolina 11
Syracuse knocked off the third-seeded Tar Heels in an upset, winning 13-11. UNC had been one of the tournament favorites coming in. The Orange advance to the national semis.
Sunday, May 17 — Newark
Penn State 12, No. 1 Princeton 9
The biggest upset of the quarterfinals: Penn State eliminated top-seeded Princeton 12-9, knocking out the tournament's overall No. 1 seed and punching a Final Four ticket. Princeton had been the heavy favorite to win it all.
Georgetown 16, Duke 12
Georgetown beat Duke 16-12, advancing behind Liam Connor and Rory Connor, who have carried the Hoyas' offense all season. The Hoyas reached the national semifinals for the first time in years.
