Denver Outlaws Rally Past Redwoods 10-9 in PLL Week 2

The Denver Outlaws picked up their first win of the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League season on Saturday, defeating the California Redwoods 10-9 at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It was a comeback win — the Outlaws trailed by three after the first quarter and had to hold off a Redwoods push in the fourth to close it out.

How the Game Unfolded

California came out fast, outscoring Denver 6-3 in the first quarter to build an early three-goal lead. The Outlaws then flipped the game in the second, shutting the Redwoods out 4-0 to take a 7-6 lead at the half.

Denver kept its foot down in the third, going up 10-7. The Redwoods scored twice in the fourth to make it 10-9, but Denver's defense held in the final minutes to seal the win.

Jared Bernhardt and L. Waxman led the Outlaws offensively. Goalie L. McNamee made 10 saves in net for Denver. The Outlaws outshot California 49-45 on the afternoon.
